The Rothco Tactical Assault Panel is based on the U.S. Army’s TAP, which was fielded around 2010 as an upgrade over the older Fighting Load Carrier. It was designed so soldiers could carry their basic fighting load and still quickly ditch the heavy gear from their plate carrier or vest when needed. Rothco’s version keeps that same practical approach — a no-frills chest panel that works whether you wear it on its own or clip it onto a plate carrier.You can run it as a standalone with the adjustable harness, or attach it to a plate carrier or tactical vest using the included adapters and side-release buckles. It’s made to move with you either way.Features:
- Wear it alone with the adjustable harness or attach it to a plate carrier / tactical vest
- Six dedicated magazine pouches with strong hook-and-loop closures
- Two additional outer pockets for radio, GPS, flashlight, or extra magazines
- Three rows of MOLLE webbing on the front for adding extra gear
- Three large mesh pockets on the back (two hook-and-loop, one zippered) for maps, documents, and accessories
- MultiCam versions made from durable 1000D Cordura
- Solid colors (like Coyote) made from 600D polyester
- Built tough for real use without unnecessary bulk
